The job itself
Sector: International Circular Economy / Sustainable Logistics
Location: West Flanders / Coastal Region (On-site)
Duration: 12-Month Full-time Assignment
Contract: Independent / Interim Management
The Client
Our client is a European market leader in sustainable packaging and reverse logistics. Despite their international scale and 1,000+ employees, they operate with a flat hierarchy and a pragmatic, down-to-earth culture. They value "straight talk" and a "can-do" attitude over corporate bureaucracy.
As a Freelance HR Partner, you will be the bridge between the office and the production site. This is a 12-month mission requiring a versatile recruiter who is equally comfortable headhunting a specialized white-collar profile as they are welcoming a new operator to the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
1. Balanced Talent Acquisition

Full-Spectrum Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end hiring process for a diverse range of roles, including:

White-Collar: Engineers, supply chain specialists, sales, and administrative staff.

Blue-Collar & Technical: Production operators, warehouse staff, and electromechanics.

Modern Sourcing: Use a mix of LinkedIn networking for staff roles and local community/interim partnerships for operational roles.

Process Ownership: From writing pragmatic job descriptions to conducting competency-based interviews and managing the final offer.

Practical Onboarding: Coordinate a smooth welcome for all levels, ensuring every new hire—regardless of rank—feels part of the team from day one.
2. Hands-on Talent Management

Point of Contact: Act as a visible, approachable HR presence for both site management and the workforce. You are "in the business," not just in the office.

Skill Development: Identify training needs across the board, from technical certifications for operators to soft-skill development for office staff.

Performance Support: Support team leads in having honest, constructive conversations with their staff to drive engagement and resolve issues early.

Retention & Culture: Implement simple, effective initiatives to improve the daily work experience and maintain the company's "family-feel" atmosphere during growth.
The Ideal Profile

Experience: Approximately 5 years of experience in HR or Recruitment. You must have a background that covers both white-collar and blue-collar profiles, ideally in an industrial or logistics setting.

Mindset: You possess a down-to-earth mentality. You are professional and organized, but you don't mind getting your shoes dirty to understand the reality of the shop floor.

Communication: You can adapt your style effortlessly, communicating with authority to management and with authenticity to the operational teams.

Languages: Professional fluency in Dutch. A good command of English is necessary for group-level reporting and coordination.

Presence: You are a freelancer ready to commit to a full-time, on-site presence in the West Flanders/Coastal region.
